illness

Poor Cavan has been sick for the past couple of days.  I have been doing everything in my power to keep the kids healthy.  Leah has been taking extra vitamin c, immune support, not eating any sugars, taking wonderful naps, and I've been pumping extra for her.  Well, my efforts have gone down the drain.  Leah is sick.  She went down for a nap at 11:30 today and woke up at 12:30 screaming.  She normally naps for 2-4 hours, so I knew something was up.  She was so confused why she couldn't breathe when she sucked her thumb.  She always sucks her thumb, and normally cannot fall asleep without it.

We had a terrible time getting her to calm down.  Finally she sat down for lunch, and Cavan and I decided it is best for Brayden if we go "into hiding".  hehe.  Brayden and I are in my bedroom, while Cavan and Leah are in the rest of the house trying to get better.  I have been trying to nurse Brayden more often, and have also been pumping extra for Leah.  I pumped 5oz tonight for her to have in the morning, and I'll try to do it again in the morning.  I feel she has a really mild case of what Cavan has, and I think it has to do with continuing to pump for her.  She gets my milk every morning, and loves it!

Please pray for Leah.  She is so sad when she is sick.  Please also pray for Brayden.  Thank goodness I am breastfeeding, I am sure he will be perfectly fine.  Thank you!!!
