Wow, I now know why I never go more than a few days without updating this blog. I have done so much in the last week! My great friend Erin and her baby Autumn came to visit from Michigan. We had so much fun! Leah was quite timid with Autumn at first. Anytime Autumn would touch Leah, she'd cry. She can be so sensitive, but I am so happy she was so gentle with Autumn too. She was great about sharing, and she really didn't seem jealous at all. It was a nice trial run before Brayden comes!
We did everything from shopping, going to the Aquarium, and enjoying time together at home. I am exhausted! We really had so much fun, and I am so glad I got to spend that time with Erin. Thanks again Erin for coming!!!
My rash is completely gone. I really am feeling so much better. I was out in the sun for a little bit yesterday, and it seemed to reappear, but it quickly went away once I got back inside. I guess I will be inside most of the summer!
Leah has been amazing. She has officially gone pee pee in her potty 6 times! I think she is really grasping the concept. She is so proud of herself when she does. It's adorable!
Poor Leah got her first real ouchie. We were playing outside at her water table while Daddy was grilling dinner. She is really good about staying away from the grill, but was sneaky and touched the side of the grill with the top of her middle finger. We quickly ran cold water over it, and she recovered really fast! It blistered up yesterday, and the blister popped today. I had to put a bandaid on it so it wouldn't get snagged on something. Leah really doesn't like the bandaid, but she's only gotten one off. :)
I am now 27 weeks pregnant! Wow! I enter my 3rd trimester next week. I cannot believe it is here so soon. I am so excited to meet my little boy. He moves around constantly, and I just love feeling him. I feel so much better during this pregnancy than I did with Leah's too. I was looking back at my notes from her pregnancy, and I had gained 25lbs by 26 weeks with her. I have gained 1/2 of that with Brayden and feel SO good.
I am still teaching Leah sign language. It has been such a life saver when I don't know quite what she wants. She knows so many signs. Here is what she knows so far:
Dog, Bird, Fish, More, All Done, Cracker, Apple, Cheese, Please, Thank You, Hat, Cat, Plane, Book, Milk, Drink, Rain, Grass, Baby, Diaper, Going Potty, Duck, and Shoes
I have been using My Baby Can Talk since she was 9 months old. I started out just using the books, and now she loves watching the videos. It is so great knowing what she wants! She is now starting to talk more and more, so we are using the signs as well as speaking. It is so much fun watching her learn new things all the time. She's so smart!
Anyway, Leah is currently taking a nap so I am going to relax. Have a great new week!
