Faith

This week we were faced with some uncertain news about my pregnancy.  Since the doctors didn't know why I had a rash, they gave me different reasons why I could have it.  It was anything from a simple allergy, a hormone imbalance, to kidney disease.  On top of my rash they found protein in my urine at the beginning of the week.  As much as I tried to not think of it, it made me nervous as that was my first sign of preeclampsia with Leah.  I found out I had preeclampsia with Leah at 39 weeks.  She was full term and ready to be born.  Brayden is only 25 weeks, it had the possibility of a unsure outcome.

Cavan and I chose to not listen to what the doctors were concerned about, and actually didn't even tell anyone.  We believed I didn't have preeclampsia.  We believed this will be a very healthy, very easy pregnancy.  We believed for a full term baby.  We were prayed upon last night at our local church for healing and restoration, it was amazing.  Having this kind of faith is exactly what we needed.  We expected a great report today when we went back for our check up.  And guess what?  Our expectations are right.  No sign of protein in my urine, normal blood pressure, and I actually lost weight!  The doctor was very pleased, and I don't have to see him for an entire month.  By his stripes, I am HEALED!

  1. I am happy everything worked out well. My midwife told us to eat at least 80 grams of protein a day with lots of calcium to prevent pre-eclampsia. I am praying everything goes well for the rest of your pregnancy and birth.
