Tired!

I have been exhausted lately.  Between Leah waking up multiple times a night and Payton being a nervous nilly, we are getting little sleep.  Leah is cutting a top molar, so that is what I am blaming her horrible sleeping patterns on.  She grabs her mouth and cries occasionally, so I am sure it's quite painful.  I think her teething necklace helps, and we have a few different homeopathic teething remedies.

I don't know what's up with Payton.  She got into some people food last week and had vomiting and loose stool.  We stopped feeding her for an entire day just so she wouldn't throw up and have to poo every 10 minutes.  We started her back up on hamburger and rice and are slowly mixing her food back in.  She also has a cut on her front right paw that she was licking so much we had to put a wrap on it.  Of course she didn't keep it on, so now she's wearing a cone collar.  She has been sleeping in the living room because I can't stand it when she lays on my legs at night.  She's not allowed in the bed, but somehow always ends up on my legs.  She woke me up at 3am this morning whining.  Payton never whines, so I got up and let her outside just so she could stand and stare at me like I was mentally ill.  I was mad at this point and locked her in the kitchen.  I went back to bed and just as I was nodding off, I heard her cry again.  UGH!  This time I strapped the citronella collar to her, I thought it worked until I heard her jump the gate and lay at our door... That dog!  I can't wait until we get the fence up so I can put them outside when they act silly like that!  Of course it's the one night this week that Leah actually slept through the night, and I got woken up by the dog.  I guess they are both preparing me for baby Brayden's arrival.  I would like some rest though!

Leah is starting to hate bath time.  She never enjoys it anymore and it's more of a struggle than anything.  She would like baths if she didn't have to be washed... but isn't that the point of baths??  I started something new today; I am taking showers with her after her nap.  This way she isn't too tired, and she's more distracted and will let me sneak a washing in.  She seemed to enjoy it today, although she needs some new shower toys.  I look forward to not having a scream fest tonight!  Cavan and I will do everything the same other than giving her a bath, I think we'll read the Bible together again tonight instead.

Brayden has been getting the hiccups a lot lately.  Leah got them a lot too when she was inside my tummy.  The doctor said that was the first sign of her reflux... lovely.  At least this time around I know what tricks to do right off the bat.  I found Leah would spit up less if I put her in her carrier right after feeding.  I have been carrying her in a sling or a soft structure carrier since she was born.  I sure miss it!  I wish I could get her in her Ergo or Boba right now, but my belly is in the way!  I look forward to being able to carry her again.

Cavan, Leah, and I are going to Outback Steakhouse tonight.  I am so excited.  My mom and step dad got him a gift card for his birthday.  I haven't had a steak in a while!  Hooray for no cooking tonight!

Enjoy these pictures of Leah eating yogurt with Cavan yesterday morning.  She had fun playing with his spoon and fork :)
