Mommy of 2

I am officially home all day with the kids... all by myself!  Cavan has been home most of the time since I was 35 weeks pregnant with Brayden.  He has been itching to get out of the at home Daddy role and get back to work. Let me tell you - I am SUPER tired, but I have gotten more done in the last 2 days than I have in a long time.  The house is clean and both kids are happy.  I even got 20 minutes today when both of them were sleeping at the same time.  It was heaven on earth!

As tired as I am, I love it.  I love taking care of our kids.  I feel so accomplished when I see two smiling faces and a clean house.  I love being a Mommy more than anything in this world.  There are times where I would love to work at a vet office again.  I loved my job as a veterinary technician.  It was my dream job.  However, I realize this time that I have with my babies, I will never get back.  They will never be this small ever again.  They will never need me as much as they do now.  So, I am trying to soak up every second with them that I can.  They are amazing kids, and I am so grateful to be their Mommy.

Leah will be 2 in 11 days.  I am still in shock.  I cannot believe my little girl will be a two year old.  It seems so old!  She has been such a huge blessing to us.  We have learned so much from being her parents.  I have learned patience, patience, and more patience.  She is just wonderful.  She talks constantly and is even putting small sentences together.  She is now nursing 2-4 times a day and loves her num-nums.  She is learning she has to share those num-nums too... which some times she really would rather not.

Brayden is doing great.  He is starting to bounce more in his jumparoo, and loves playing with the toys on it.  He is such a laid back kid.  I think he's probably average, but since Leah was a little more high maintenance, he seems so easy.  He is sleeping around 5-7 hours a night consistently.  Then he'll be up every 1-2 hours until around 7am.  He sleeps on his belly now, and seems to really like that.  Every one that looks at him always comments on his big blue eyes.  My mom said when I was little every one used to comment on how big my eyes were too.  I just love his eyes!

I am going to a bible study in the morning, then the fresh food market in the afternoon with both kids alone... it should be interesting, but I am ready!  I practiced carrying Leah while wearing Brayden in the Sleepy Wrap.  It seemed to work, so I am going to give it a shot.  Enjoy the pictures!!!
