Great Weekend!

We had such a wonderful weekend.  Derick and Janelle were so much fun.  I wasn't sure how Leah would react to yet another set of visitors, but she loved having Uncle Ger-gek and Aunt Nel around (yes, this is how she pronounced their names).  Derick wasn't feeling well the day they got here so he slept most of the day Friday.  Leah kept bringing him toys and laying them on his chest while he was snoozing on the couch.  She just wanted Uncle Ger-gek to play!!!  Once Saturday rolled around I could tell this was going to be an exciting weekend.  Leah was drawn to Derick right away.  They played and played.

We really enjoyed spending time together.  We went to the Aquarium on Sunday and Leah didn't really like it as much this time.  She kept telling the fish "bye bye sssssish"  (Leah's word for fish).  The sharks and larger fish really scared her this time, she was happy to have Daddy hold on to her.

Janelle and I had fun just taking pregnancy and babies together.  She is due 4 weeks behind me.  I am due September 6th and she's due October 7th.  Crazy!  I think my belly looked huge next to Janelle!  I've got a big healthy boy in here.

Derick and Cavan had a great time going off-roading in Cavan's Jeep, playing video games, and swimming in our "pool".  It was nice for them to hang out and do boy things.

I really loved having Derick and Janelle so close.  It was great.  Made me miss home a little more.  I am so excited for them as they start an entire new chapter of their lives.  The journey of parenthood isn't easy, but I know they are going to be wonderful parents.  Love you Derick and Janelle.  Thanks again for coming!
