My due date is 39 days away. Wow. I am pretty much done being pregnant. Brayden is so far into my ribcage I have a hard time breathing, I wake up at least 10 times a night to use the restroom, and I am just plain huge. I cannot wait to roll around on the floor with Leah. We are really getting ready for Brayden's arrival though. We really only need a swing now. Eventually we'll get the double stroller I am drooling over.
Leah has been great. She has been a bit more crabby and clingy lately, but I think a lot has to do with me being tired. She is talking more and more, and it's so cute to hear words she comes up with. She loves talking on the phone too. Cavan and I are going to get Leah one of those play kitchens... we are going to have it all set up in Cavan's office so when I go into labor (if it's during the day), she can have something fun to play with at home. I also want to get her a new doll so she can take care of her "baby" and I can take care of mine.
We had a great baby shower for Brayden on Saturday. It was so nice to get together with Cavan's family and celebrate baby Brayden. We got so many boy clothes!!! It's amazing how different it is when there is actually a color besides pink! I love it!! We also got Brayden's cloth diapers in the mail! I was so excited to get them. We decided to go with Swaddlebee's Mini Econappis for Brayden's newborn diapers. Can't wait to see his little tushie in cloth!!
The other day our air conditioning broke. We had a heat index of 109 that day. It was so hot in this house, I felt like I could pass out. Leah and I took cold baths. Luckily we had a company come out that night and get it fixed before we went to bed. Leah didn't fall asleep until 11 and we didn't fall asleep until 11:30. Of course she woke up at 4 that morning. It took a couple days for her to get back on schedule, but she's doing great now, and we are very comfortable in our 74 degree house! :)
Leah and I went to a Bible study yesterday with our mom's group. It was great having that connection with our friends. Leah did great, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Leah is getting much better around other kids. She was terrified of them not long ago. I even caught her playing with a few of them yesterday. It was so cute.
I am feeling a bit off today. Just not feeling great I guess. I am going to just take it easy (as much as I can with Leah running around). She's begging me to go "side side" right now, so I better go! She sure loves playing in her water table outside :) Have a good rest of the week!
