Beah and Bubbas: Beach Day!

Leah did not want to sleep while I had company over last night. She stayed up until almost 11pm! She had so much fun showing off. Everyone really enjoyed her huge fluffy night bottom. Her night diaper is pretty big, but I guess I never thought any differently. I believe she was called both J-Lo and Kim Kardashian. ha!

I was hoping Leah was going to sleep in, but of course she didn't! She was wide awake at 5am. Needless to say, we were all tired! We made breakfast. Our Saturday tradition is pancakes. Now this isn't as easy as it sounds when you cut sugar out of your diet, but I have to pat myself on the back because I made some great spelt pancakes. YUM!

I put Leah down for a nap around 7:30am and went to bed myself. I normally always have the monitor up loud so I can hear her, but I knew she was fine and happy, so I turned it down low. I fell asleep for a good hour and a half. Oh, it felt so good. We quick got something to eat and headed to the beach in the Jeep! This was our first time going to the beach in bathing suits this year. I really don't like the idea of being pregnant and wearing a bathing suit, but it was fun. Leah really enjoyed playing in the sand. I think we brought 1/2 the beach back in the Jeep. Cavan took Leah to test out the water. Although Leah was a little nervous about the water, she enjoyed it because Daddy was there.

Once we got back home Leah went straight down for a nap. This time Daddy took a nap while she did. When she woke up we headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Carlson's house for a family get together. Leah got this new car from Grandpa and Grandma, it honestly is the coolest little car I have ever seen. I didn't even know they made cars that nice. Of course it's a Mercedes! Leah also enjoyed a puppet show hosted by Grandpa... I don't know who enjoyed it more us or Leah, but it sure was fun!

After enjoying time with the family we decided to go home. We gave Leah a bath and she was sleeping not even 5 minutes after I laid down with her to nurse. She had a big day. I truly enjoyed today. I just love spending time as a family. Cavan is such an amazing Daddy. Leah is incredible. I always dreamed of what my children would be like. I just am amazed at how much I love her. She has such a wonderful personality, she's so smart, so beautiful, and so loving. The Lord knew just what He was doing when He decided Leah was going to be raised by us. She fits so perfectly into our family. I love my little peanut so much.
