What a day...

Crazy is the first word I can think of for today.  We originally had our first appointment today at 2.  We had some issues with insurance and we decided to cancel the appointment until we figured everything out.  We then figured out what we needed to do so I called the office back and they couldn't get us in until the 11th!  What?!?  It was 1:30 then, and jokingly I asked if my previously canceled appointment was still available and they said if I can make it, I can have it.

Unfortunately we just put Leah down for her afternoon nap and couldn't get a hold of anyone to come over and watch her, so I had to wake her up.  Poor baby.  As we started driving there the road was blocked off because of an accident so we had to go 10 minutes in the wrong direction just to turn around and go the right direction.  I thought for sure we wouldn't make it, but we did.

Leah was antsy and really wanted Mommy to hold her.  Daddy did a great job keeping her occupied.  Once it was time for the dreaded exam I had to totally undress.  I had a little towel on my lap and a paper shirt.  Leah wanted milky once she saw my top open.. haha, poor kid.  We then had the ultrasound and got to see the baby moving and saw the heartbeat.  It was so great.  What a little miracle.  I am exactly 9 weeks pregnant today, and am due September 6th.  SO excited!!!

On our way out the door the lady said she could do my blood work right away.. ugh, I really didn't want to get my blood drawn today.  It seemed I had no choice so I told myself to be a big girl and held my breath.  It wasn't that bad.  I think the worst part was when the lady put the tape on too tight and pulled some of my arm hairs out :).

We stopped over at Dad and Mom Carlson's and Leah enjoyed walking around.  Once we got home she was so ready to get to bed since she completely skipped her nap this afternoon.  She's now sleeping peacefully and it feels great to relax.  I'll put the 2 ultrasound pictures below.  Enjoy!!
