I put Leah down last night around 6pm. She nursed for her normal time (10-15 min), and went right to sleep. I prayed she would sleep at least 10 hours hoping to get 7 (lack of faith? sorry, I'm working on it.). She woke up and fussed twice between 8-9pm, but fell right back to sleep without me going up there (we have this amazing video monitor that helps!!). I went to bed and thought for sure I would see her around 12-2, but I woke up at 2:23 and turned the video on and was happy to see her sleeping. I fell back asleep until 5:30.. WHAT?? Turned the monitor on to find her sitting up happily in her crib. Good girl Leah!! I ran up there soaked in my own milk, and nursed my happy baby. Relief.
I'm hoping for a great night sleep tonight as well. Maybe this will be a new routine for her. I love getting sleep, but my body needs to learn to not make so much milk at night ;).
Cavan and I are really starting to get the house in order. The garage is almost cleaned up from all the boxes, and the house has a few odds and ends laying around. I am hoping to get everything done tomorrow. I love our home. It's perfect for Cavan, Leah, Payton, Delko, and I. Leah loves it too. I find her playing in her play room all by herself multiple times during the day. It's wonderful. Usually I have to be no more than 12 inches away from her at all times, but she's really embracing her new freedom of a house!
I'm missing out on night play time with Leah and Daddy. Hope you all have a wonderful night, and don't forget to enter the giveaway for My Baby Can Talk First Signs series! It is an awesome program!!
