Plane ride, friendly faces, tired baby and mommy

I am going to make this a quick post, but I just wanted to update everyone on our trip so far.  Leah did decent on the plane.  I guess for an 8 month old being held for 2 hours with a germ-a-phobic mom, she did great.  We sat by a really nice grandmother, thank God.  We got to Detroit for the layover.  I had a huge carry on, Leah's huge diaper bag, her stroller and carseat combo, jackets, and her carrier.  All by myself!  I was hungry, Leah needed to be changed, I had to go to the restroom, and we had to board our plane in 40 minutes.  So I went into one of those "family restrooms".  I would have thought they might be a little more spacious and clean than the normal bathrooms.  Well they were more spacious, but deffinitly not clean.  YUCK!  I got Leah all changed (thank goodness she didn't poop while we were in transit).  I was so tired I decided to go to a sit down resturant.  Leah didn't appreciate staying still again, but she did alright.  Once we boarded the 2nd plane to Grand Rapids, Leah was exhausted.  I wanted to wait to nurse her until we took off, but she was insisting.  She nursed for a good 10 minutes and was sleeping before the plane even took off.  Poor thing could have slept for a few hours, but we were in GR in less than 45 minutes.  She was pretty glued to my side the whole way back.  Mo and I gave her a bath and got her settled eating some apples and toasted oats.  She livened up, happy, smiley, giggly.  My mom and Jack, and Janelle, stopped by to see us.

Leah did great until it was time for bed.  She has gotten so used to her normal routine, walk, bath, boob, and bed.  She sleeps so well in her crib, but she knew this crib was not her's.  She didn't want to sleep.  She didn't end up falling asleep until 10:15 in bed with me.  So she got a good rest, I did not.  We tried church this morning, but she didn't have a morning nap.  So we left early.  Poor thing fell asleep in the car and is still currently sleeping in her car seat in my room.  Let's hope she sleeps for a while... sorry this is 2 huge paragraphs :)
