Apple sauce

Sometimes I feel like I never stop cleaning. Today was one of those days. My mom is coming tomorrow for a week, so I needed to do the rest of the laundry and clean up the apartment.

Leah and I had fun today singing silly songs, and making each other laugh. She is amazing. I don't even have any words for how great she is. She is loving, funny, and oh so cute. She still looks just like her daddy. I don't see any of myself in her besides her eye shape and possibly her mouth - that's it. She is definitely a daddy's girl.

Cavan ran to the grocery store after work today. He picked up some organic apples to make some apple sauce for Leah. We have this great baby food maker called Beaba Food - My dad and step mom got it for us. It cooks and purees the food all in one container. It is really awesome. We have been using it every time we want to give her some food. She has tried rice cereal, bananas, sweet potatoes, and a tiny bit of broccoli. All of which she hated. We wanted her to enjoy getting to taste food, so we tried something we both love... Apples. So - we cooked and blended the apples. The applesauce was amazing, I loved it. Leah - not so much. She did better with applesauce than anything she has tried so far, but she still made really funny faces. I hope she develops an appetite to food soon. I will continue breastfeeding her until she isn't interested anymore, whether it be in 4 months or 4 years I don't care. It is the best thing for her. I am glad I am the one giving it to her!!
