Great Grandma Carlson's Birthday Party

Success!!  Leah did it!

Well today was a big test.  We spent all day making sure Leah got every ounce of sleep and milk as she wanted.  We were hoping to make it to Great Grandma Carlson's 38th birthday (hehe).  Aunt Tina, Uncle Peter, and Cousin Warren stopped over earlier in the day, and Leah really enjoyed the visit.  

Leah and I took a 2 hour nap later in the afternoon, it was amazing!  We were not planning on attending Grandma Carlson's birthday because we didn't think Leah would behave, but we wanted to at least try.  We showed up a little late because Leah was taking a nap, and we didn't want to wake her.  Once we got there her wonderfully GREAT Aunt Tina walked her around, took her outside to put her toes in the koi pond, and talked about Leah getting a boat sometime.  So far, so good!  Cavan and I ate dinner, and we kept entertaining her, but all turned out great!  She didn't even get fussy.  She was really happy, and was very much enjoying flirting with Bryan.  We left around 8pm, which is usually her bed time, and she was amazing.  I am so happy to have finally gotten out of the house and talked with people older than 4 months old. ha.  I will post some photos of tonight.  Happy Birthday Great Grandma Carlson!!!
