Every time Leah sees a headband she calls it Grandma. She always messes with Grandma Carlson's headbands so it's only natural to call them Grandma. It's pretty cute.
We had a great weekend. Cavan and I rented a movie, played skip-bo, and enjoyed time together. I think I forgot to mention that we got rid of tv. Our living room and bedroom are tv-less. We love it!!! We decided to get rid of cable because it was full of garbage and totally wasted our time. We set up a small tv with DVD player for Leah to watch her videos on in her play room. Our time together is so precious, why waste it by sitting on our bottoms?
Brayden is 12 weeks old today. Time sure is flying! It seems like yesterday we were calling our midwife to come over. I am still so in love with his birth. It was the best experience of my life and am actually a little sad I wont be doing it again. He has brought so much to our lives.
Leah is great. She is such a goof ball. She has been cutting 4 teeth and 2 are still not through, but they are swollen and you can see the whites trying to come through. Poor baby! She's a trooper though, and is such a joy. She can count to 3 and knows all her letters. I love how she enjoys learning.
I will update more soon. I have typed this entire post one handed as Brayden nurses, so it's taken way too long! Enjoy the pictures!
Its funny that you mention your home birth. I have been thinking a lot about your posts from B's birth lately and how much I want "that" for my next birthing experience. I would love to be able to do my own thing during labor and then be able to snuggle up with my family after birth, in my own clothes in my own bed, with my own bathroom etc. When you posted your birth story with all the gorgeous pics, I actually made my hubby read it and I asked him about home births for our last two babies, but he is still scared. Both of our boys have been early, the first at 36wks, the second at 34wks after a 29wk scare. He is just afraid that baby would need extra help that wouldn't be available at home. I know that I wouldn't be allowed to attempt a home birth before 36wks, which makes me a little sad since I don't know that I will ever make it that far in pregnancy again. I guess at this point I should just be thrilled that my doc takes more of a midwife's "hands off" approach to childbirth, and loves that I birth drug free. :) Now if the hospital would do the same...:P Anyway, I absolutely loved your posts about B's birth, even made me cry a little with how beautifully every thing looked and how it all played out for you. That is definitely something to cherish forever!
