Dead Battery

We needed to run a few errands this morning, and decided to get it all done before Leah went down for her nap at 11.  We got all ready, got both kids ready, fed Leah a snack, nursed Brayden, got the kids all packed up in the car... all to find out our car battery is dead.  Ha!  Good thing we had a sense of humor about it.

We let Leah play around outside and put Brayden in my Belle Carrier, and waited for Grandpa Carlson to come over and save the day.  Leah had a blast playing outside.  We were throwing the dog's toys, and she was exploring in the bushes.  She was so cute.  She would give us leaves, sticks, and my poor flowers.  She started digging a hole and proceeded to put the dirt on our shoes.  She made sure we thanked her for the dirt on our feet too.  She then grabbed a very large handful and placed it right on top of her head.  Woops.  She thought it was very funny.  Once Grandpa got here she played inside of his car for a while.  She loved the looking at all the buttons and things.  He had a battery charger that could go into the cigarette lighter from one car to the other, I guess Leah thought it looked like a phone, because she held it to her ear and started talking.  She is too funny sometimes!

Brayden is Mr. Personality.  I cannot explain enough how sweet of a temperament he has.  He "talks" to us constantly.  His smile.. oh his smile.  It is enough to melt anyone in it's path.  He has the cutest little dimples and is just too cute.  He weighs 12lbs at 11 weeks.. he's a chunker!  Oh!  I forgot the most amazing news!  He slept for 6 straight hours last night!  Can you believe it?  My baby.. the one who wakes every 2 hours to eat slept 6!  It felt amazing!  He normally sleeps in bed with me or in his Kanoe, last night he slept that entire time in his Kanoe.. I wonder if I wake him up at night?  I woke up right before he did in terrible pain.  Sorry if this is TMI, but my boobs were rock hard.  Ouch!  I pumped just my right side and got 5.5oz in less than 4 minutes, needless to say, Leah had extra milk today!

Wednesdays are always Fresh Food Market days... They open their doors at 3pm, and the earlier you get there the less you need to wait in line.  We got there at 3, but they were still setting up, so I nursed Brayden in the car.  We got just what we needed, and were the first ones to check out.  It was so nice!

Leah does amazing during our bedtime routine.  She takes a bath, gets her jamies on, gets her teeth brushed, and reads a book.  Lately she has been wanting to read her Marley book, I love you so much, and a Mudpie For Mother.  She loves them all.  I could recite them with my eyes closed.  We then pray together as a family and she kisses Brayden, then Mommy, then Daddy.  She lays down, we put a blanket on her, and she says see you soon.  Then silence.... she doesn't make a peep!  It's so nice!
