Leah has become quite the chatterbox! She talks constantly... and it's so cute! She knows so many new words it's amazing. She constantly points out different things and tells us exactly what it is. It's so difficult when she says a word, she knows exactly what she is saying, but we have NO idea what she means. Frustrating for us all! Since she has been talking, if we cannot figure out what she means, a lot of times she will sign the word as well... it makes it much more manageable for us all.
Funny Leah story...
She has recently become very interested when I am going to the restroom. She follows me in, and praises and claps and says, "Yay Mommy, Yay!" when I "go potty". It is so funny! Then she tells me to "wipe" and says "bye bye pee pee!". She sure knows how to make us laugh!
Brayden is doing great. He is such a sweetie. He is still a horrible nurser. It is honestly one of the most frustrating things I have ever had to do. Leah was a dream to nurse, but Brayden is a different story. He is not relaxing at all. On the rare occasion he is calm and quite while nursing I totally cherish it. He is such a crab monkey when he nurses.. constantly crying, sweating, pulling off, grunting.... the entire time! I have tried so many things, I really don't know what else to do besides deal with it. I am believing he will outgrow this... hoping very soon!
I am so tired today. I attempted to take a nap with Brayden, but he was having nothing to do with it. I fell asleep twice only to be woken up minutes later. I finally gave up and got out of bed. Brayden fell asleep within 10 minutes of me giving up... figures! haha. I love my job. :)
Do you think your nursing issue could be an over-active let-down? I see a lot of that come through when I am helping moms nurse their LO and baby just isn't happy!
ReplyDeleteI thought maybe that might be the issue, so I tried (multiple times) pumping for 3 minutes... it didn't seem to resolve anything. Ugh! It is so frustrating. Some days seem worse than others. Today, EVERY time he nursed he was crying/sweating. I just ordered some infant probiotics as I read it could help with tummy issues. I tried Colic Calm in case it was silent reflux to no avail.
ReplyDeleteThe probiotics are super awesome for little tummies! IF you are interested, there is a super secret breastfeeding group on FB. We have it set to that it is completely unsearchable, anything that is posted there (pics and the like) can only be seen by group members. Right now, beside the normal BF chatter, there is quite a bit of CD talk as we convert many members over to cloth. Many of them do the more natural products and the baby sign language/ baby wearing etc. I think that you would fit right into our group, and so many of the girls have awesome ideas and are LCs in training. :) You do have to be invited to the group, so let me know and I should be able to get you an invite. (I am friends with Jessica Rabbit, so I know how to find you there...)
ReplyDeleteI would love that!!
