Naughty Puppy and Christmas Biscuits?

Our friends, Paula and David gave us this beautiful basil plant.  I was so excited to have a live herb in the house, and had it sitting in the window to get sun light.  I forgot to put it back on the counter before I left and we came home to dirt and basil everywhere.  The whole house smelled like basil for a while.  Delko was the culprit.

I got a Christmas cookie recipe from Cavan's cousin, Missy.  I was so excited to make cookies this year.  I went to the grocery store to pick up some flour and butter and quickly got started once I got home.  Leah enjoyed helping.  I got the dough all finished and put it in the refrigerator to cool.  Leah and I were covered in flour.  A few hours later I took it out and rolled the dough.  I tasted the dough and noticed it was kind of salty and bitter.  I baked a small batch just in case something was wrong.  Something was very wrong... The only unbleached flour I could find at the store was enriched.  I didn't know exactly what that meant.  Now I know it means they put the salt and baking powder in the flour.  What I did was add even more baking powder and salt and made some nasty tasting cookies.  Now we have a few star shaped dog biscuits.  They seemed to like them :)

Leah slept awfully last night.  She was up 4 times.  She hasn't done that for at least 3 weeks, so I am exhausted today.  I think she's getting more teeth.  Her gums look a little swollen and she is actually chewing some of the paint off of her new crib... I guess we will have to get some teething guards.

She nursed well tonight and we are hoping for our normal 2am feeding then sleeping until 6:30-7.  Fingers crossed.  Enjoy the pictures!

Naughty boy!

What a mess.

He's so pretty though.

She was trying to figure out what was sticking on her hands.

Yummy.

Our pups

Payton loved the cookie

Delly did too.

They look good, but they're gross.  I had to make a whole new batch.
