Cavan and I were talking, and we wanted to start our traditions now. We want as far back as Leah can remember that we do the same family traditions every year. We aren’t going to celebrate halloween, but we are going to have a “Harvest Fest” every year. We have been thinking of fun things to do like caramel apples, carving pumpkins, watching a family movie, and being thankful for everything the Lord has done for us.
We started one tradition last night. We went over to Grandpa and Grandma Carlson’s house and carved pumpkins with Aunt Casandra and Uncle Bryan. Everyone had a much different idea, but it was so much fun. Bryan and Casandra drilled holes in their pumpkin and pushed Christmas lights through, Dad Carlson carved Leah’s name on the skin of the pumpkin, Cavan carved his Jeep, and I carved Noah’s Ark with 2 giraffes in it. We had a really great time. Leah even enjoyed herself.
It was great starting a tradition, but most importantly, we enjoyed time as a family. Hope you enjoy the photos; we sure had a lot of fun!

Leah was unimpressed by Uncle Bryan :)

What a neat idea!
