Family Fun

We had a pretty good day today. Leah and I cleaned up the house, did laundry, and took care of Daddy. Cavan came home with a killer head ache. He is much better now, but it wasn't fun for him!

Leah didn't want to take her afternoon nap, so I tried something new. Cavan and I have decided she cannot sleep past 5pm. She just doesn't go to bed at a good time, and she doesn't stay sleeping. So - Leah only got her morning nap today. Needless to say, our evening wasn't perfect, but we still enjoyed it.

We decided to go on a super long "w" tonight. Leah always enjoys being outside, and if that was what it was going to take to keep her up, we were happy! Payton sure was too! We took our normal route, but extended it going past the big ponds. As we were getting to the end of the pond, about 20 geese were crossing the road in front of us. We waited patiently as they crossed trying not to disturb them. Cavan suggested we let Payton chase after them, and I just shrugged, "I guess". Within an instant, Payton was unclipped from her leash, and took off after the geese. She was going full speed... so were the geese!!! She chased them right into the pond - and tried swimming after them! Cavan said she got about 25 feet out, and realized she couldn't catch them. What a silly dog!

We ended up having to bathe Payton right when we got back. Poor Leah had to stay awake a little longer, but it worked out perfect. She got her bath, and was ready for the remaining 2 b's. She is now sound asleep, and I would be very surprised if we have any issues with sleeping tonight. Cavan and I are just relaxing, lets pray for a good night's rest. Have a great night!
