Leah started today with a bang... she was WIDE awake at 1am. I wasn't thrilled to say the least. I didn't want her to keep Cavan up, so I took her to the living room, and laid on the floor with her. She was laughing, squealing, grunting, and tooting. She was having the best time, all while I was half asleep on the floor. She finally was getting more tired at almost 2, so I put her back to bed, and she thought to wake up at 3... by that time, I brought her in bed with me and she ate and fell right to sleep... stinker!!!
Daddy and Grandma took care of Leah in the morning until I woke up around 8. We went to the pool, it was so hot out!! We stayed at the pool for an hour and a half, while Leah took a short nap in her jogging stroller. My mom and I read some books, and attempted to swim, but I was a wimp and didn't want to get wet. After Leah woke up, she started to get a little fussy, so we walked quickly back home. Leah ate, and I thought she was going to fall asleep, but she wanted noting of it. She still hasn't taken a nap today and it is already 3:30. She's having way too much fun with Grandma!
I have been working with Payton the last few weeks on when people come to the door. She usually barks like crazy, and then either sounds like she's going to eat somebody, or if she knows you, she will jump on you and scratch you because she's so excited. So I have been making her run to her bed on command, and stay there while I open the door.. It's a slow process, but she's getting really good at it. My mom helped out today and went outside and knocked on our door so I can try if I am making any progress... Payton did well! I will let you know next time the UPS man comes though!!
Enjoy the pictures from today. I am sure tonight will be the usual "w", play with Pay, and Leah's 3 b's, but if something "exciting" happens, I will update :)

I need to work on Jade not jumping on people either. I like what you're doing. That's kind of what we are doing now, but the idea of staying on her bed is even better :-) It's nice to know that I'm not the only one up at 1am...Only mine is from restless legs!!!
