Keptin

Now, I know Keptin is Leah's little bunny toy, but we have another "Keptin" in our lives now. Our new puppy!!! The litter of puppies have been born that we are getting one from. The only litter Connie is having that is related to Payton. Cookie is the puppy's mom, and this is her last litter, so we had to chose one!! We decided to go with a male because I think Payton would not appreciate a female one bit. Cavan and I were throwing name suggestions around, and he jokingly said "Keptin"... I was hooked, I loved the name for a puppy. So Keptin it is. He was born last Saturday, and wont be ready for another 7 weeks, but we're excited. I was thinking of waiting a year or two to get another dog, but thinking I will probably be pregnant or have a newborn then, I would rather get it over with now, and let Payton have a buddy. I really think she misses having a dog around. She has become much more anxious since she has been the only dog, for over a year already! Anyway, I thought to show you a picture of Keptin, he looks like a little guinea pig right now, but he'll get cuter!

We had a nice day today, it was really hot out though! We dropped the Passat off at the VW place to get the oil changed and to recharge the air conditioning, we were going to just bear with it, but it's way too hot for Leah to even sit in the car. While the car was in the shop we decided to go to Market Commons. We had a nice time just looking at stores, before we knew it, the car was done and we went home. We got to call Derick today!! It was great talking with him, I am so proud of him. I miss him so much, and I am so glad we get to talk once a week now. We used to talk every day, and the last few months of not talking to him was really hard. So I will settle for once a week! Leah missed 2 naps while we were gone, but she was suprisingly well, until this evening. She finally took a nap around 6:30 until 7:15, and she just fell asleep at almost 9. I hope she sleeps well!! Anyway, we are going to attempt church tomorrow, have a great rest of the weekend!
