Today was the first day we have been alone in almost 2 weeks. With my mom here, and Cavan home during the weekend we have had a lot of company during the day. We had so many fun adventures with my mom here, Leah kind of got out of her routine. So, today, we tried as much as we could to make it a "normal" day for Leah. She slept in until 7:30, and after she woke up Leah and I took Payton for a "w". She ate and took another nap after the "w", I joined her!! It is so nice to be able to take naps with her when I can. She is still waking up 4-5 times during the night... so it is nice to rest when I can.
We did all the laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and fixed dinner. Daddy came home around his normal time, and we all played on the floor. Leah is loving playing with her feet, she even sucks on her toes! She was a little fussy this evening so Cavan had a brilliant idea - he put an ice cube inside a wash cloth and put a hair tie on it to keep it in place. Leah loved it! She has now been sucking on it for about 30 minutes, and Cavan is now playing the guitar for her. He has been playing for her since we found out I was pregnant, and she always enjoys his music.
I talked with Payton's breeder today, and Chase's (my mom's dog, Payton's brother) sister, Cookie, had 6 puppies on Saturday, and we are thinking of getting one. I'll post a picture of the puppies once she sends one.
Anyway, we are about to go for our nightly "w", have a great night. Oh- if you have questions, or just enjoy something about what I am writing about, you can leave a comment under this post, it will say 0 comments, or 1 comment... you can just click on that and write something. I really don't know how many people read these, and would like to know that someone else is enjoying it too. haha. Thanks!
Leah playing around this morning, she actually rolled about 4 feet away from her play mat!
She took her dolly with her!

Hi Jen! I read you! And I always wish we lived close by so we could get together and talk. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to give the ice cube in a washcloth idea a try. Lottie has been teething forever (with no teeth yet!). Maybe she would enjoy this, too?
Love ya!
